Leonhardt Studio - Willow, New York
Built in Willow, New York in 1998, this 460 square foot studio was built for a local artist who wanted a private, detached place to make art. As a child, she grew up in the famous Leonhardt Residence, designed by Phillip Johnson, on Long Island Sound. She wanted to emulate this building with a new studio building, thus, the late modern detailing with full glass walls and steel diagonal tie rods. The building sits in the center of a pristine grassy meadow.
