Teapot House  -  Woodstock, New York

This 1,600 square foot single family home was built in 2002 in Woodstock, New York.  The client was a graphic designer who had lots of small items, like teapots, that she wanted to display.  These collections inspired an idea for a set of transparent, open shelves or “screens” that were designed to surround the living room with a two story view of the mountains.  The house is built at the border of a wooded area exposing the bedrooms to the serenity of the woods. Conversely, the living room opens to a meadow with a mountain view.
