408 Greenwich Street - Tribeca, New York City - Jess Walker at Morris Adjmi Architects
This 34,000 square foot, multi use building sold out before completion in 2007. The building consists of a steel frame structure enclosed in red, pigmented precast concrete panels metal trim and a terra cotta column at the corner. The repetitive arch articulation references many of the turn of the century brick and cast iron facades found in the Tribeca historic district. This building was approved built four stories taller than the zoning allowed in order to be contextually appropriate in keeping the cornice line of the adjacent historic buildings.
