St. Joe Building - Jacksonville, Florida - Jess Walker at Morris Adjmi Architects
Built in 2003 as the St. Joe Company headquarters on the James River, this 210,00 square foot office building was built on top of a new, two story enclosed parking garage. St. Joe was established as a paper company purchasing thousands of acres of Florida for the harvesting of trees to produce paper. As the global economies changed, St. Joe, owning as much as 7% of the land in Florida, changed to a development company embracing the “new urbanism” movement.
