The Johnson Residence - Onteora Park, New York
Built in 1884, this single family home is an early shingle style, 4,500 square foot home extensively renovated in 2006 by Lester Walker. In order to save this poorly settled building, including the fireplaces, the entire house had to be raised to install a new waterproof foundation. After this monumental feat, the house was completely renovated with all new modern amenities, while keeping all of the original antique details, such as windows, doors, stairs and ornate mill work often replacing elements completely.
