Orchard Lake Residence  -  Detroit, Michigan  -  Jess Walker at Morris Adjmi Architects

Designed and built for the owner of a prominent real estate company, this ten thousand square foot single family home was built on Orchard Lake in Detroit, Michigan.  The front, street side facade referenced the glass and steel Industrial language pervasive in Detroit, the back or and the Lakeside facade was inspired by a wood residential Villages found along the Great Lakes.  These two very different aesthetics are divided by a brick circulation spline mediating between the street side and lake side facades.
