The Theory Building is a 50,000 square foot headquarters building and flagship retail store built for the clothing and apparel company Theory in New York City's "Meat Market" neighborhood designated by the New York City Landmarks Commission as the "Gansevoort Market Historic District".  The Theory Building was the first new construction project built after the designation and is widely regarded as contributing a contemporary yet contextually appropriate architectural language further defining this burgeoning area.
